Seksualundervisning som førebyggingstiltak mot seksuelle overgrep

Abstract

Barn har rett på tryggleik, fridom, og beskyttelse mot overgrep og omsorgssvikt. Dessverre er det slik at seksuelle overgrep har blitt eit folkehelseproblem, og ein treng forebyggande tiltak for å minske den negative utviklinga. Dei som forgrip seg på barn, kan vere både vaksne og andre barn. Barn som er utsett for seksuelle overgrep kan slite med etterverknadane heile livet. Alt frå psykiske og fysiske vanskar, til problem rundt relasjonsbygging, og det å skape tillit til andre menneske. Gjennom oppgåva tar eg for meg det sentrale rundt seksualundervisning, med hovudfokus på seksuell helse, og viktigheita av å snakke saman for å bryte ned tabubelagte tema. Eg går også inn på vald og valdtekt i Noreg, samtaleverktøy, undervisningsopplegg og lovverk. Vidare går eg inn på korleis kunnskap kring seksuallivet, kropp og grenser kan bidra som eit forebyggande tiltak mot seksuelle overgrep. Korleis fungerer eigentleg seksualundervisninga som er i skulen, og er det noko som bør bli gjort for å betre seksualundervisninga? Tema for oppgåva er seksualundervisning, og problemstillinga er; kan seksualundervisning vere eit forebyggande tiltak mot seksuelle overgrep?

Children have he right to security, freedom, and protection from abuse and neglect. Unfortunately, sexual abuse has become a public health problem, and preventive measures are needed to reduce the negative development. Those who abuse children can be both adults and other children. Children who are sexually abused can struggle with the aftermath all their lives. Everything from mental and physical difficulties to problems around relationship building and creating trust in other people. Through the thesis, I focus on the central issue of sex education, with the main focus on sexual health, and the importance of talking together to break down taboo topics. I have also written about violence and rape in Norway, conversation tools, teaching programs and legislation. Furthermore, I go into how knowledge about the sexual lite, body and boundaries can contribute as a preventive factor against sexual abuse. How does sex education in school actually work, and is there anything that should be done to improve sex education? The theme of the assignment is sex education, and the question I try to solve is; can sex education be a preventive measure against sexual abuse?
