Abstract

Problemstilling: Hvilke faktorer påvirker helsepersonell i valget om influensavaksinering?

Hensikt: Hensikten med denne studien er å finne ut om hvilke faktorer og årsaker som påvirker sykepleiere og annet helsepersonell i valget om influensavaksinasjon.

Metode: Dette er en litteraturstudie der vi har benyttet oss av forskning, litteratur fra pensum, men også annen relevant litteratur og informasjon. Vi har utført et systematisk litteratursøk i en sykepleierettet database. I denne studien har vi benyttet oss av syv kvantitative forskningsartikler og en kvalitativ forskningsartikkel. Vi har kvalitetsvurdert forskningsartiklene gjennom NSD-registeret og ISSN-databasen. Artiklene er etisk vurderte av kompetente, etiske komiteer.

Resultat: I denne litteraturstudien har vi hovedfunn delt inn i fem hovedtemaer. Funn fra forskningen kom frem til disse ulike hovedtemaene: Usikkerhet om effekt, bivirkninger og administrering, egenvurdering, smittevern hos ansatte og ansvar for pasienter, alder og arbeidserfaring og organisering.

Konklusjon: Der er mange faktorer som påvirker helsepersonells valg om influensavaksinering. Vi konkluderer med at dersom vi skal oppnå en høyere vaksinasjons-rate blant helsepersonell så må helsepersonell få tilgang til å innhente forskningsbasert- og litteraturbasert informasjon og få tilrettelagt influensavaksineringen på sin arbeidsplass.

Issue: Which factors influence health care professionals' decision to get the influenza vaccine?

Aim: The aim of this study is to find out which factors and motives influence nurses and other healthcare professionals in the decision of getting the influenza vaccine.

Method: This is a literature study where we have utilized known research, literature from the curriculum, but also other relevant literature and information. We have performed a systematic literature search in a nurse-oriented database. In this study, we have used seven quantitative research articles and one qualitative research article. We have assessed the quality of the research through the NSD register and the ISSN database. The articles are ethically assessed by competent ethic committees.

Findings: In this literature study, we have divided the main findings into five main themes. The findings from the research came to these different main themes: Uncertainty about the effects, side effects and administering, self-assessment, infection control among employees and responsibility among patients, age and work experience and organization.

Conclusion: There are many factors that influence healthcare professionals’ choices about the influenza vaccination. We conclude that if we are to achieve a higher vaccination rate among healthcare professionals, healthcare professionals must have access to obtain research-based and literature-based information and have the vaccination arranged at their place of work.
