Bachelor oppgave i sykepleie om terapautisk allianse til dobbelt diagnose pasienter

Abstract

Kort beskrivelse av bacheloroppgaven: Problemstilling: Hvordan kan sykepleier skape en god terapeutisk relasjon til pasienter med sosial angst og alkoholproblemer? Teoretisk perspektiv: Det sykepleiefaglige perspektivet tar utgangspunkt i Joyce Travelbee sin sykepleieteori som omhandler det mellommenneskelige aspektet. Oppgaven har fokus på hvordan sykepleier skal kunne bygge en god terapeutisk relasjon til pasienter med sosial angst og alkoholmisbruk, samt hvilke egenskaper og kompetanse en sykepleier bør ha. Vi ønsker også å se på ulike behandlings tilnærminger til denne pasientgruppen. Metode: Vår bacheloroppgave er en litteraturstudie. Det vil si at vi bruker litteratur og artikler som allerede eksisterer. Vi har brukt databasen PsychINFO for å innhente relevante forskningsartikler. Vi har tabeller som oppsummerer hovedpoengene i artiklene. Her belyses innholdet i artiklene, samt etiske overveielser. Vi har brukt pensum og annen relevant faglitteratur i oppgaven vår for å belyse temaet og for å drøfte emnet. Drøfting: Vi drøfter en mulig sammenheng mellom sosial angst og alkoholbruk. Terapeutisk allianse og behandlingstilnærminger blir drøftet. Fokuset er på sykepleierens rolle i disse situasjonene, og hvordan sykepleier kan skape en god relasjon til pasienten. Faglitteratur og Travelbee sin sykepleieteori drøftes opp mot artiklene vi har funnet. Funn fra artiklene drøftes opp mot hverandre, og om det kan relateres til allerede kjent forskning. Konklusjon: For å skape en god terapeutisk relasjon til pasienter med sosial angst og alkoholproblemer må pasienten være klar for endring. Pasientene må ifølge Travelbee møtes med empati og en forståelse om at selv om pasientene har vært gjennom erfaringer felles for alle individer, så vil hvert individ ha en unik erfaring av den fellesmenneskelige erfaringen. Sykepleier må inneha visse egenskaper for å klare skape en god relasjon til pasienten. Egenskaper som ekthet, ærlighet, og bli møtt med en ikke-dømmende holdning blir vektlagt. Møtene mellom pasient og sykepleier må ha en gjensidig respekt fra begge parter for å klare skape grunnlaget for god terapeutisk allianse. På dette viset kan man både etablere og sørge for en effektiv og kontinuerlig behandling.

Short description of the bachelor thesis: Problem statement: How can a nurse create a good therapeutic relationship with patients with social anxiety and alcohol problems? Theoretical perspective: The nursing professional perspective is based on Joyce Travelbee's nursing theory which deals with the interpersonal aspect. The thesis focuses on how a nurse should be able to build a good therapeutic relationship with patients with social anxiety and alcohol abuse, as well as what qualities and competence a nurse should have. We also want to look at different treatment approaches for this patient group. Method: Our bachelor thesis is a literature study. That is, we use literature and articles that already exist. We have used the PsychINFO database to obtain relevant research articles. We have tables that summarize the main points of the articles. Here, the content of the articles, as well as ethical considerations, are highlighted. We have used the syllabus and other relevant literature in our thesis to shed light on the topic and to discuss the topic. Discussion: We discuss a possible connection between social anxiety and alcohol use. Therapeutic alliance and treatment approaches are discussed. The focus is on the nurse's role in these situations, and how the nurse can create a good relationship with the patient. Non-fiction and Travelbee's nursing theory are discussed against the articles we have found. Findings from the articles are discussed against each other, and whether they can be related to already known research. Conclusion: To create a good therapeutic relationship with patients with social anxiety and alcohol problems, the patient must be ready for change. According to Travelbee, patients must be met with empathy and an understanding that even though patients have been through experiences common to all individuals, each individual will have a unique experience of the common human experience. The nurse must have certain qualities to be able to create a good relationship with the patient. Attributes such as authenticity, honesty, and being met with a non-judgmental attitude are emphasized. The meetings between patient and nurse must have a mutual respect from both parties to create the basis for a good therapeutic alliance. In this way, one can both establish and ensure an effective and continuous treatment.
