blir skrevet.
Deretter heises FIDCene ned i riktig
dc.description.abstract | This report will explain the concept of installation and deinstallation of three fully
insulated dummy connectors (FIDC) on the gas compression facility Jansz-Io. The
initial development topic given by the technology corporation Aker Solutions, consisted
of the installation of a FIDC in a tight work area. The installation is done by
a ROV under an overhang at a depth of 1300m below sea level. This was a new
challenge for Aker Solutions and there is no proper solution for this problem at
the present time. The suggested solution suggests that the three FIDC mounted
on a plate will be hoisted down by cable and will rest on a track system. A ROV
will be used to push the FIDC into the right positions above the female wet mates.
To connect to the wet mates a custom made lift system, that is operated by the
ROV, will lower the FIDC into the wet mates. To get the correct mating force, one
of Aker Solutions’ own tools are used. After the correct mating force is applied,
a bolt lock mechanism is used to lock the contraption in place with the correct
mating force. The key inovation in this report is the lift that lifts and lowers the
FIDC into the wet mate connectors. It is based on a worm gear, and rack & pinion
technology, which makes it possible to lower the FIDC in place using an ROV. This
technology can be used in future installations, with similar challenges. The ideas
for the solutions has been developed through iterative discussions with the project
owners Aker Solutions, other experts within NTNU/SINTEF and supervisors.
In addition to detailed discussions of the solution, the solution has been visualized
in Solidworks, both as drawing of the components as well as animation of parts
and processes. | |
