Fra litteratur til lerret; en analyse av humor i American Psycho (1991) & (2000)

Abstract

Denne bacheloroppgaven er en analyse av romanen "American Psycho" (1991) & filmen "American Psycho" (2000). Analysen utforsker primært bruken av humoristiske virkemidler i de to verkene, med fokus på satire, skjult humor samt forbindelsen mellom humor og vold. I tillegg til dette sammenligner oppgaven bruken av de nevnte virkemidlene i de to verkene og ser på ulikhetene i fremstillingen av humor.

This bachelor thesis provides an analysis of the novel "American Psycho" (1991) & the film "American Psycho" (2000). The analysis primarily explores the use of humorous means in the two works, with a focus on satire, hidden humour and the relationship between humour and violence. In addition to this, the thesis compares the use of these humorous means in the two works and analyses the differences in the portrail of humour.
