Audisme - en litteraturgjennomgang

Abstract

Gjennom problemstillingen «Hvordan presenteres og forstås begrepet audisme i litteraturen og hvordan kan de forskjellige vinklingene og forståelsene av dette begrepet sees i sammenheng?» har denne oppgaven som hensikt å undersøke noe av det litteraturen tar for seg rundt begrepet audisme. Oppgaven tar for seg en teoretisk gjennomgang av de ulike aspektene ved audisme og den deler inn i disse to hovedkategorier, audismeteorier og audismepraksiser. Audismeteorier tar for seg på hvilket nivå i samfunnet audismen oppstår, mens audismepraksiser ser mer på hvordan audismen blir utført av individer eller samfunnsstrukturer og arenaer. Det forsøkes også å gi en oversikt over krysningene og sammensetningene av audismeteorier og audismepraksiser. Gjennom noen eksempler gitt i litteraturen blir det teoretiske grunnlaget til oppgaven forsøkt tatt i bruk gjennom enkle analyser av disse eksemplene. Hensikten er da å vise at den teoretiske forståelsen av audisme kan anvendes i den «virkelige» verden.

Through the research question "How is the concept of audism presented and understood in the literature and how can the different angles and understandings of this concept be seen in context?" aims this thesis to examine some of the literature and what it says about the concept of audism. The thesis addresses a theoretical review of the various aspects of audism and it divides into these two main categories, audism theories and audism practices. Audism theories address the level at which in society audism occurs, while audism practices look more at how audism is performed by individuals or societal structures and arenas. An attempt is also made to provide an overview of the intersections and compositions of audism theories and audism practices. Through some examples given in the literature, the theoretical basis for the thesis is tried to be applied through simple analyzes of these examples. The purpose is to show that the theoretical understanding of audism can be applied in the "real" world.
