under Covid-19-panemien blant NTNU-studenter i Trondheim.
dc.description.abstract | This thesis deals with the subjective experience of loneliness and the use of social media during the Covid-19 panemic among NTNU students in Trondheim. In an attempt to find a connection, and explain it, the starting point is theory and previous studies around digital media and communication's importance for social ties and well-being, and uses and gratification theory. The thesis uses a quantitative method and an electronic survey to collect data. The analyzes of the data material resulted in no significant connection being found, and that there must therefore be other reasons for subjective experience of loneliness. In addition, the average respondent rarely experienced loneliness, even though the respondent on average felt that they used social media a bit more during the pandemic.
