Kosmorama; fra fysisk filmfestival til digital strømmetjeneste

Abstract

Denne bacheloroppgaven undersøker hvilke muligheter og utfordringer som oppstår ved digitalisering av en opprinnelig fysisk filmfestival. Problemstillingen tar utgangspunkt i Kosmorama internasjonale filmfestival og deres erstatning av de fysiske arrangementene. Som praktikant i arbeidet mot festivalen inntas rollen som deltakende observatør, der funn presenteres på grunnlag av egne erfaringer sammenlignet med resultater fra Kosmoramas undersøkelse. Festivalopplevelse som et aspekt ved filmfestivalen blir et sentralt tema og tar stor del i diskusjonen rundt den digitale overgangen, samt dets følger på godt og vondt.

This bachelor thesis examines the opportunities and challenges that arise when digitizing an originally physical film festival. The research question is based on the Kosmorama International Film Festival and their replacement of the physical events. As an intern in the work towards the festival, the role of participating observer is taken, where findings are presented on the basis of own experiences compared with results from Kosmorama's survey. Festival experience as an aspect of the film festival becomes a central theme and takes a large part in the discussion around the digital transition, as well as its consequences for better or worse.
