Pedofili i terapirommet

Abstract

Denne studien ønsker å belyse hvordan ulike teoretiske bakgrunner kan påvirke tematiseringen av seksualitet i behandling av personer som er seksuelt tiltrukket til barn. Datamateriale ble samlet inn fra et utvalg av ulike behandlere i Norge med erfaring innen behandling av pedofili. Tematisk analyse ble brukt for å analysere dataene. Resultatene viser to hovedrelasjoner og en underordnet relasjon som er med på å påvirke behandlingen. Forholdet terapeutene har til teori og hvilke teoretiske bakgrunner de har en betydning for deres syn på pedofili og seksualitet generelt. Det terapeutiske forholdet mellom terapeut og pasient har en effekt på når og hvordan seksualitet tematiseres. Den siste underordnede relasjonen er forholdet mellom pasient og valg av offer. Dette går på tvers av de to hovedrelasjonene, hvor pasientens andre diagnoser, overgrepsmetode og motivasjon er med å påvirke behandlingen.

This study aims to show how different theoretical backgrounds affect the thematization of sexuality in the treatment of people who are sexually attracted to children. The material was gathered from a population of therapists in Norway who have experience with the treatment of pedophilia. Thematic analysis was used to analyze the data. The results show to main relations and one sub-relation which affect the treatment. The relation the therapists has to theory and which therapeutic background influence their view of pedophilia and sexuality in general. The therapeutic relationship between therapist and patient implicates when and how sexuality is thematized. The last sub-relation is the relation between patient and their victim of choice. This goes across the two main relations, whereas the patient’s other diagnoses, way of abuse and motivation affect the treatment.
