Many students make inappropriate decisions regarding higher education often due to lack of information. Today, the youth often use the Internet to seek answers regarding how it is to study a certain study program or at a university. Online reviews are the most trusted source, second only to recommendations of friends and family. The aim of this research is to investigate what information from university students can be useful and different challenges related to crowdsourcing that is necessary to consider when facilitating student knowledge. The research was conducted by reviewing of current online university review initiatives and data collection through interviews and questionnaires of pupils and university students experiences of career guidance and university. Although the results from the interviews might not be generalizable to countries, it presents some interesting reasons for why a national student-based career guidance service could be useful and what should be considered for its implementation. A properly implemented reviewing site for students could help pupils and students make more informed decisions, while acquiring better insight to the discipline and prospective career.en
