Danseres opplevelser i Hip-Hop dansing - Hip-hop kulturen, dansing og danseres opplevelser i et lite miljø.

Abstract

Denne oppgaven handler om en kvinnelig og mannlig danser, og deres forhold til hip-hop dansing. Kvalitativ intervjuundersøkelse skal benyttes som metode, ved å intervjue to dansere, som bor eller har bodd stort sett hele livet i Norge. Respondentene har forskjellig bakgrunn, og er unge voksen og voksen. Alle er involvert i hip-hop dansing og har forskjellig grad av erfaring og involvering i disiplinen.

I teorien har jeg tatt utgangspunkt i forståelse av selvidentitet, reflektivitet og markør av livsstilen. Jeg vil bruke Giddens senmodernitet og selvidentitet. I fagstoffet beskriver jeg hip-hop utvikling og globalisering. Data som samles fra informantene skal analyseres i lys av disse teoriene, for å illustrere forskjellen mellom individene og deres kjennetegn. I intervjuer med informantene har jeg funnet lignende oppfatninger rundt hip-hop dansing og kultur. Disse funnene har utvidet min analyse av senmodernitet, selvidentitet, utvikling og globalisering i lys av informantene sine opplevelser.

This bachelor's thesis is about a female and a male dancer and their experiences in hip-hop dancing. In this assignment I will be using a qualitative interview method, and the dancers I will be intervjuing have been living most of their lives in Norway. The respondents come from different enviroments. They are a young adult and an adult. They both are involved in hip-hop dancing and have different types of experiences and level of involvement in the enviroment.

In the theory part I have written about self-identity, reflectivity and lifestyles aspects. I will be adapting Giddens' late modernity and self-identity theories. In the subject material I will explaing hip-hop development and its globalization. The data generated from the interviews are analyzed withing the use of the theories I have presented. I have done so to illustrate the differences between the informants and their marks. During the interviews I have found similar notions about hip-hop dancing and the culture. This finds have been integrated in my analyse of late modernity, self-identity and hip-hop development and globalization within the research informants' experiences.
