Informasjonen i Mammografiprogrammet og dens påvirkning

Abstract

Problemstilling: Hvordan legger informasjonsmateriellet om Mammografiprogrammet i Norge til rette for at kvinnene som inviteres skal kunne ta selvstendige og informerte valg?

Hensikt: Formålet med denne oppgaven er å se på hvordan informasjonsmateriellet til Mammografiprogrammet tilrettelegger for at kvinner skal kunne gjøre selvstendige og informerte valg.

Metode: Oppgaven bygger på litteraturstudie og kvalitativ metode. Innholdsanalyse er benyttet for å analysere innholdet i informasjonsmateriellet tilknyttet Mammografiprogrammet.

Resultat: Resultatene i oppgaven er hentet fra innholdsanalysen, og viser at flere av de ulike versjonene av informasjonsmateriellene har unngått å informere om ulemper og risikoer tilknyttet mammografiscreening.

Konklusjon: Ved å tilføre mer informasjon om fordeler og ulemper og ved å benytte mindre ledende informasjon, vil dette legge til rette for at kvinner skal kunne gjøre et mer selvstendig og informert valg.

Research question: How does the information material in the Norwegian breast cancer screening program present the information to make participants do an independent and informed consent?

Purpose: The purpose of this assignment is to see how the information material in the Norwegian breast cancer screening program is presented to make the women whom are invited, to do an independent and informed choice about participating in the program.

Method: To do this assignment we used a qualitative literature study to find relevant articles and studies on the topic. A content analysis was used to analyze the information material.

Results: The results from the content analysis show that many of the information brochures have excluded information about the potential risks, and disadvantages associated to mammography screening.

Conclusion: By implementing more information about both advantages and disadvantages and reduce the use of directional information, the information material will able the women to make more independent and informed choices.
