Hvordan kan man fremme et seksualvennlig miljø og en god seksuell helse for mennesker med psykisk utviklingshemming gjennom opplæring og informasjon?

Abstract

Hensikt: Hensikten med denne oppgaven er å lære mer om utviklingshemming og seksualitet, og hvordan man på best mulig måte kan fremme et seksualvennlig miljø og en god seksuell helse gjennom informasjon og opplæring.

Metode: I denne studien har jeg benyttet litteraturstudie som metode. Jeg har benyttet litteratursøk for å finne forskning som hjelper meg å komme frem til et svar på problemstillingen. Jeg har benyttet seks forskningsartikler i denne studien.

Resultat: I denne studien kom jeg fram til tre tema/funn. De er følgende: 1. Ansvar for opplæring og informasjon om seksualitet til mennesker med psykisk utviklingshemming 2. Bruk av verktøy og hjelpemiddel vil være hensiktsmessig i den seksualundervisningen som blir gitt til mennesker med psykisk utviklingshemming. 3. Det er nødvendig og ønsket med seksual undervisning til mennesker med utviklingshemming

Konklusjon: Informasjon og opplæring er vesentlig når det kommer til mennesker med psykisk utviklingshemming og seksualitet. For å skape et seksualvennlig miljø må vi kunne snakke åpent om de og ha en dialog mellom foreldre, tjenesteyter og bruker. Det er store mangler når det kommer til opplæringen, og informasjonen trenger oppdatering og tilpasning.

Aim: The aim of this thesis is to learn more about people with intellectual disability and sexuality, and how one can promote a sexual-friendly environment and a good sexual health through education and information.

Method: In this study, I have used literature study as a method. I have used literature searches to find research that helps me to come up with an answer to the problem. I have used six research articles in this study.

Result: In this thesis, I came up with three topics/findings: 1. Responsibility for education and information on sexuality for people with intellectual disability 2. The use of tools and aid will be advantageous in the sexual education that is provided for people with intellectual disability 3. Sexual education and information on the topic is needed and wanted for people with intellectual disability

Conclusion: Information and education is essential when it comes to people with intellectual disability and sexuality. In order to create a sexual friendly environment, we must be able to talk openly about it and have a dialogue between parents, service providers and the people with intellectual disability. There are major shortcomings when it comes to training, and the information needs updating and customization.
