I denne
situasjon i planområdet.
Vegvesen.
relativt lavt i terrenget.
dc.description.abstract | The bachelor`s thesis will discuss alternatives for remodeling of E6 along Harran village.
Harran is a small town in Grong municipality, and in 2012 – 2014 work was done on the
highway. E6 was remodelled north in the area, Nes bridge was built across Namsen and several
measures was done along with the road alignment. With repeatedly opportunities discussion has
been made if E6 should still go through the centre of Harran or be moved out of the village. An
important argument to retain the road through the village is to see the importance of the
highway to Harran. In this thesis the possibilities to move E6 out of Harran will be looked
closer to and the consequences will be discussed.
To get a better understanding of Harran village a formal description of today’s situation on the
area has been made. Based on the description a map was made in AutoCAD to illustrate
different zones. The map was used as a tool to generate different alternatives for remodeling of
E6. Together with Novapoint the software tools have been used to generate the road alignments.
There will be a chapter about innovation in the bachelor`s thesis. Intelligent transport systems
(ITS) will be discussed, and how the transport sector can use smart and digital solutions.
Changes in the infrastructure can cause both positive and negative consequences for Harran,
especially for business activities, tourism and the residents. To get a better understanding of
what the changes can mean to Harran, discussions around urban issues will be made. Among
other things, the discussion will be seen from a point of view of Grong council, Harran Kro and
Harran Camping.
It has been made five different road alignments to remodel E6 along Harran. To recommend
one road alignment for further engineering, a simplified impact assessment has been done for
each alternative. Monetary and non-monetary consequences for each alignment will be
compared. As a result, from the impact assessment and analysis of the area, alternative 1 and 5
is chosen for further discussion and drawing in Novapoint.
Statens vegensen`s manuals have been used to maintain the requirements for dimensioning of
the road alignment. The road has dimension class H3 with 8,5 meters road width and a speed
limit of 90 km/t. Alternative 1 is chosen for further engineering. The road alignment has lowest
construction costs and is one of the roads with the shortest distances. In addition to this the road
connects to existing Nes bridge, build in 2012 – 2014. In areas where the road alignment is
visible for the surroundings it`s situated low in the terrain. A slight curvature makes the road
comfortable and road-safe. Although the road alignment will cause some negative
consequences, it’s possible to reduce this with simple measures.
