Utfordringer og muligheter ved tilpasset opplæring for elever med stort læringspotensial

Abstract

Denne bacheloroppgaven er et kvalitativ studie av tre læreres oppfatninger og tanker om tilpasset opplæring for elever med stort læringspotensial, samt hva som kjennetegner denne elevgruppa. Problemstillingen ser på tre informanters tanker, ut fra oppfatninger og erfaringer, om hvilke utfordringer og muligheter som kan oppstå når man tilpasser opplæringa til disse elevene, og hva som kan være konsekvenser av det. Funnene fra intervjuet blir knyttet opp mot relevant teori, og deretter drøftet i lys av den. Hovedfunnene er at det er for lite kunnskap om elevgruppa, og om hvilke tiltak som skal igangsettes for å bedre utbyttet til disse elevene, og at et godt og fleksibelt læringsmiljø er nødvendig for at elevene skal få ut sitt fulle potensiale. Det kom og klart frem fra undersøkelsen at det er mange ulike utfordringer og muligheter som oppstår i arbeidet med denne elevgruppa, og at alle elever er ulike, og man må tilpasse deretter.

This bachelor thesis is a qualitative study of three teachers’ perceptions and thoughts about adapted education for pupils with high learning potential, and what that characterizes this group of pupils. The issue looks at three informers’ thoughts, made from their perceptions and experiences, about challenges and possibilities that can arise when you’re adapting the education to these pupils, and what that can be the consequences of that. The findings from the interview will be related to relevant theory, and then discussed. The main findings are that it is too little knowledge about these pupils, and about what measures to be started to better the dividend to these pupils, and that a good and flexible learning environment is necessary so that these pupils can get out their full potential. It also was clear from the research that it is a lot of different challenges and possibilities that can arise in conjunction with adapting the education for these pupils, and that every pupil is different, and you adjust after that.
