Kosmorama filmfestival: Mer enn bare en kinovisning
Abstract
Denne bacheloroppgaven tar utgangspunkt i en av flere filmfestivaler som arrangeres i Norge hvert år, Kosmorama Trondheim internasjonale filmfestival. Oppgavens problemstilling materialiserte seg etter å ha vært tre uker i praksis hos Kosmorama, hvor formålet er å undersøke hvordan Kosmoramas festivalgjester kan engasjeres som markedsførere gjennom å skape gode publikumsopplevelser.
Oppgaven belyser for det for det første hvordan festivalgjestene kan fungere som markedsførere gjennom word-of-mouth og elektronisk word-of-mouth. For det andre undersøkes hvilke faktorer på festivalen som påvirker publikumsopplevelsen, og derav også engasjementet som markedsfører. Gjennom kvantitativ data tas det sikte på å forstå festivalgjestenes motivasjon og behov for en deltagelse på Kosmorama, og hva som har påvirket festivalgjestenes publikumsopplevelse. Oppgaven fremhever i korte trekk viktigheten av det fysiske og sosiale miljøet på festivalplassen, og hvordan dette kan ha en positiv innvirkning på engasjementet rundt positiv word-of-mouth. This bachelor thesis is based on one of several film festivals held in Norway each year, Kosmorama Trondheim International Film Festival. The research question materialized after an internship at Kosmorama, where the purpose is to examine how Kosmorama's festival guests can be engaged as marketers by creating good audience experiences.
Firstly, the thesis highlights how the festival guests can act as marketers through word-of-mouth and electronic word-of-mouth. Secondly, it examines which factors at the festival that affects the audience experience, and hence also the involvement as marketers. Through quantitative data, the aim is to understand the festival guests 'motivation and needs behind a participation in Kosmorama, and what has influenced the festival guests' audience experience. This thesis highlights the importance of the physical and social environment at the festival site, and how this can have a positive impact on the engagement on positive word-of-mouth.
