| dc.description.abstract | Digitalization permeates Norwegian and international working life. This causes large changes for many employees. This paper investigates how digitalization affects real estate agents in Trondheim. Digitalization is about using technology to renew, simplify and improve. Existing research on the effects of digitization is still in its early stages.
This study therefore investigated whether digitization contributes to greater differences between real estate agents. The study was carried out in collaboration with informants in various brokerage firms in Trondheim. Three informants were interviewed, and their perceptions and descriptions of how digitalization contributed to bigger differences between real estate agents were analyzed. The study used thematic analysis, where two main themes emerged, with a total of three subtopics. The first overall theme of Changes contained the subtheme Benefits and Challenges. The second theme New workday contained the subtheme Imbalance between efforts and rewards.
The study argues that several aspects of increased digitalization lead to greater differences between real estate agents. It is especially inexperienced and new, as well as the older real estate agents that notice the effects of increased digitalization. It is therefore proposed that various measures can be administered to limit the differences digitalization can create among real estate agents in the future. | nb_NO |
