A Framework for Facilitating Deployment in Wireless Sensor Networks
Abstract
In this work we present a framework to help facilitate the deployment and migration of mobile applications in wireless sensor networks. Many works within the field of wireless sensor networks assumes that all necessary software is already installed on all sensor nodes in the network. In many newer WSNs however, applications can be added during runtime to allow for reprogamming without having to collect the nodes and redeploy the network. For applications to be able to migrate among nodes they need to be able to know which nodes are best fit to go to. The problems with problems of retrieving information about potential nodes are often overlooked. Here we look into these problems and define a framework to facilitate the deployment of mobile applications.
