A Task Scheduling Simulation System Employing Multiagent Modeling and Market-Based Control: Implementation
Abstract
Task scheduling and human resource allocation is a great challenge for large organiza- tions. Schedules are compiled to comply with the requirements of a large number of tasks, and constrained by the availability of resources. When operating in dynamic en- vironments, these schedules are subject to change due to the occurrence of unforeseen events. Handling this gracefully is nontrivial. I present two reference implementations of the conceptual solution from [9]. This in order to research the feasibility of two plat- forms in the realization of a task scheduling simulation system employing multi-agent modeling and market-based control.
