The role of Management Control Systems in Turnaround Strategy Implementation: The case of Jotun Ibérica
Abstract
This study applies Simons four levers of control framework in order to investigate if the use of management control systems can enable the implementation of turnaround strategies. In addition, the study investigates how MCS is used when a company is in a decline stage and in a recovery stage. The empirical analysis reveal that Jotun Ibérica indeed use many of the control systems mentioned in the literature.
