dc.description.abstractThe main goal in this master thesis has been to develop an engineering design and dimensioning the hub and rotor shaft for the NOWITECH reference wind turbine. A pitching mechanism concept has presented as well. The major effort was put on to carry on the simulations based on the Design Load Cases for wind turbines. The mentioned components have been simulated under the extreme loads from different DLC scenarios. As final result optimized components by minimal weight generated.The PLM software NX7 has been used to model and run Finite Element Analysis. Improving the skills to use NX7.5 has been undergone during whole work as it was defined as one of the thesis objectives. This is reflected by explaining how different tasks and functions are carried out in NX7.5.nb_NO
