Sammendrag
NORSK: Innledning:
I Norge finnes det mellom 8-10 000 stomiopererte. Hensikten med en stomi er å avlaste et sykt organ (Norilco 2011).
Hensikt:
Finne ut hvilke faktorer som påvirker pasientens mestring og tilpasning til den nyopererte stomien, hvilke kunnskaper sykepleier bør anvende for å kunne støtte pasienten som har fått stomi.
Metode:
I denne oppgaven skal litteraturstudie benyttes som metode. Søk etter artikler er utført i databaser som: Ovid Nursing database, Academic search elite og Cinahl.
Resultat:
Gjennom litteratursøket ble det funnet 10 artikler. Artiklene belyser viktigheten av informasjon og veiledning til stomiopererte, samtidig sier noen at informasjonen som blir gitt ikke er tilfredsstillende.
Konklusjon:
Etter en stomioperasjon går pasienten gjennom en prosess med fysiske og psykiske forandringer. For å støtte pasienten på en best mulig måte, må sykepleier ha kunnskaper om hvordan kommunisere samt og informere, undervise og veilede om viktige aspekter ved å ha stomi. ENGLISH: Introduction:
In Norway there are between 8-10 000 stomapasients. The purpose of a stoma is to relieve a diseased organ (Norilco 2011).
Aim:
Find out what factors influence coping and adaptation to the recently operated stomapatient. The nurse should have knowledge about how to support patients who have got a stoma.
Method:
This study is conducted as a literature review. Search for articles is performed in these databases: Ovid Nursing Database, Academic search elite and Cinahl.
Result:
Through the literature search we found 10 articles. The articles highlight the importance of information and guidance about the stoma, while some say that the information provided is not satisfactory.
Conclusion:
After stoma surgery the patient goes through a process of physical and psychological changes. To support the patient in the best possible manner, the nurses should have knowledge about how to communicate and give information about important aspects of having a stoma.
